Introducing the Factory Cologne, deep inside the heart of one of Cologne's vibrant hotspots at Bruessler Platz. Derived from the origin of pop art icon Andy Warhol, this establishment evolved from a men's fashion store under a French pseudonym to a metamorphose of a collective hub for young musicians, writers, fashion designers, and artists by late 2023. Transforming into a dynamic event venue, artspace, and creative nexus, the interzone of the factory features a luminous boat with a disco ball, resembling a dusty museum with wall art, a DJ booth crafted from mosaic tiles, a Martion audio system, retro neon tubes, and aged parquet flooring.
Part of a streetwear and sneaker concept store, the rear section is exclusively dedicated to a creative space. "Do the taboo," a record label and book publisher, now hosts exhibitions, concerts, daytime parties, readings, creative workshops, and installations to restore the original beauty of the Belgian Quarter through culture. The goal is to create an inviting atmosphere, encouraging people to spend time together- a place you visit like a friend's living room. Most events are free, allowing attendees to bring their own drinks.
Visiting the Factory is a must, as the ever-transforming location unfolds as a continually rediscoverable artist's haven, unlike anything seen in Cologne before. In addition to in the shop handcrafted Atmosfera3000 pieces, brands like Ravani and Vetere find a home here. In collaboration with Funk Magazine, a diverse magazine wall will be featured, complemented by graffiti cans, markers, parchment, bleached paper, and art supplies adorning the store's corner. The collaboration with Groove Attack Recordstore in the building's basement creates a united front of extravagance.
A house with history, where already some genius’s creatures of the night threw their cigarette on the dark brown wooden floors.
